As we all know, Linux is a free and open-source operating system. However, Linux can use and load non-public source device drivers. Some vendors do not disclose the source code of the Binary driver compiled by the vendor. We call it "Binary Blobs" (Binary Blobs). We are now called "patented software ". Some open-source zombie and FSF suggest removing all patented software components, including Binary Blobs. Next, I will introduce five Linux releases without any patents.
Reasons for avoiding "patented software"
1. Improvements and releases-individuals cannot release improved versions because they are not open source code;
2. Reliability-vendors of patented software can stop supporting such software at any time;
3. Review-patent software cannot review security and vulnerabilities. You are forced to trust the seller not to place Backdoor programs and monitoring programs;
4. Vulnerabilities-these patented software has many vulnerabilities that force people to constantly update their hardware;
5. Applicability-these patented software cannot be transplanted to a variety of different hardware architectures, but only run on a few hardware.

By the way, OpenBSD does not allow open driver source code. You can also try it.
