1. Place the Fedora9 Linux installation disk to the optical drive and drive guide.

2. After the installation interface is displayed, select (Rescue ......) Item (with prompt)

3. The installation and import page appears, and a prompt will be displayed ......, Press enter all the time. When you are prompted to configure the network, select NO to skip.

4. The sh # prompt appears. Enter the cfdisk command to view the partition where Linux/boot is installed, such as sda6 (SCSI hard disk)

5. Enter grub and press enter to go to grub>

6. enter grub> root (hdX, Y) root under grub> with spaces. If it is incorrect, a prompt will be displayed (the values of x and y are assigned values based on the actual situation. There is only one hard disk, windows and linux are both installed on this disk, so X = 0. The/boot partition in linux is sda6. Here, Y is 5, (6 is unavailable, confusing ))

7. grub> setup (hd0)

8. Enter quit to exit grub.

9. Enter reboot and restart OK.

Note:

When installing Grub on a hard disk, do not use root (sda, 0) or root (hd0, 0) Because Grub does not distinguish the SCSI hard disk from the IDE hard disk and is expressed in HD, the restoration of GRUB in Fedora9 Linux may be different in other versions!
