After frequent disconnection, it will not be able to be dialed, but it is not because the Modem is slow, instead, a fault tolerance check delay occurs on the connection between the Modem and the switch, so I want to change the HUB of 10 Mbps. However, I went to another dormitory and turned around to find that someone else had nothing to do with the Mbps switch, and there has never been a disconnection. Do you have to succumb to MT800? I suspected it was a Modem problem. Later I accidentally found out that ADSL could be upgraded by refreshing Firmware. After several twists and turns, I found a forum called ChinaDSL and downloaded the latest VikingII chip Firmware and tool, back up the original Firmware, but the system prompts a connection error (it was later discovered that Skynet intercepted the cat's data packets !), The system refreshed the Web interface. After a few minutes, the cat did not respond and was killed ......
DSL, ACT, and LAN lights are not on. It seems very serious, and the NIC cannot be connected. The cat went on strike completely. What should I do? The cat did not ask for a refund from China Telecom, not to mention its own failure. Instead, it had to take a built-in ADSL cat and temporarily bring a machine to access the Internet. As a result, it was found that the cat was also offline, it turns out to be a line problem! I'm depressed ......
In any case, first find a free time to bring the cat home, and check the ChinaDSL forum on a large number of refreshing VikingII chip cats and repair tutorials.
After preparing the Modem, we split the Modem. As the tutorial said, there were 6 pins near the indicator light, and a flat chip was mounted on the remote side with labels, if the torn-apart model is AT45DB161B, in line with the situation described in the tutorial, immediately find a useless parallel line and follow the instructions in the tutorial for welding:

Although the ultimate voltage of AT45DB161B is lower than 5 V, it seems that this is not a Vcc interface, so ...... Ignore the effect of resistance.

Uneasiness of connecting the port, boot into DOS, input LOADFI, No Connection ...... Ah ...... Crashing ...... Later I found that the tutorial I was reading was wrong. I should turn on the MODEM power, so I immediately turn on the power ...... Or No Connection ...... The heart is so cool that it cannot be used? All are VikingII chips! Shutdown and unplug the parallel cable. Use A multimeter to measure that all the pins are connected ...... Did Hua Qin change the line? Then I flipped through a lot of other tutorials, including starting the system with 1-2 feet, and finally developed to use a knife to drag the pins and plug in each patch cap. Except for the occasional DSL and ACT lights that are always on, there was no improvement, two hours later (I watched the tutorial + Welding for 1 hour, and spent 1 hour). I gradually felt desperate. Is Modem broken like this, if that is the case, I can only buy a Huawei MT800 from my pocket. In this case, it is better to be a dead horse doctor. Connect the heartbeat line again and enter Win2000. LOADFI prompts No Connection, enter the Win98 boot disk, or No Connection, adjust the parallel port to the SPP mode, or No Connection, and do not stop. Simply open the Modem and enter the DOS to run LOADFI and pull the jumper. One did not respond, and then unplug the other, LOADFI suddenly came up with a different tip when pulling out 4th hops: Cable 1: ATMEL 45DB161B ...... (Do not remember), immediately heartbeat acceleration, input 2. verify flash images ., indeed, an Error occurs at Page 17, which is the part of the bad brush. Connect the network cable, but the LAN indicator of the Modem is not on ...... This version of Firmware does not work! The Firmware of the other three VikingII chips was downloaded from Huawei, Asus, and Dynalink. The Firmware was installed one by one, and the device was restarted one by one, only the other two can light up the DSL lamp, but the NIC is always unable to connect. I am in a hurry to just fl the VikingI chip. I am desperate again, I checked the Firmware of 642-CS on the official website of Hua Qin. I almost called the customer service center and asked them to give me a Firmware. Later I thought it was unrealistic, I downloaded a Fireware package randomly. The power on was not bright. I saw that the parallel line was not unplugged ...... I found that my computer's network card was not disconnected after I started it again. Is that all right? Telnet 192.168.1.1 immediately. The Welcome to Viking interface is displayed. Hi, the admin/admin logon fails, the root/root logon fails, and the adsl/1234 logon succeeds, the Telnet interface has changed @! $! @ %. Check the network cable with your doubts. I got it wrong. I got my ADSL cat in the lower-floor residential broadband! However, I accidentally realized the control of the ADSL cat downstairs. When I got back, I found that the network adapter still failed to connect. I felt so cool. I just paid for it myself and dumped the network cable, actually, the W $ @ % LAN indicator starts to flash and is connected! Right away http://192.168.1.1 The page is displayed. Enter admin/admin to log on successfully! It seems that the cat has been rescued before, but it is a problem with the network cable! Rely on me !!!!!! This happened to be the FW of Dynalink company outside China. It seems that it was specially optimized for the Router, and I got back to the dormitory for a test and connected immediately, and it is no longer as unstable as the previous Huaqin 642! So far, the Modem has been repaired.

Some lessons and experiences:
1. Never upgrade Firmware from the Web interface of ADSL! This is a blood lesson !!
2. Hua Qin made a pattern switch jumper (or write protection?) on 642-SC ?), Unplug the Jumper next to the six-pin socket, the Modem will not work, and you need to unplug all four jumpers to write the AT45DB161B chip, do not know whether these jumpers are a pure bypass function, or to AT45DB161B 3-foot WP output low level, many people follow the tutorial but cannot brush 642-SC is these jumper ghost.
3. Check whether the network cable can be used. This will avoid detours similar to mine. If the network cable is accidentally connected, I don't know how long it will take.
4. The original Firmware of 642-SC has problems in the routing mode or is subject to telecom restrictions, resulting in unstable routing mode.
