Fix the problem: Ubuntu 14.04 under Eclipse CDT menu bar invalidation

1) Create a shortcut file

gedit ~/.local/share/applications/eclipse. Desktop

2) Add the contents of the file as follows:

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=utf-8
Name=eclipse
Comment=c++ IDE
Exec=/usr/local/eclipsecdt/eclipse
icon=/usr/local/eclipsecdt/icon.xpm
Terminal=false
Startupnotify=true
Type=application
Categories=application;development;

where exec and icon are modified into their own Eclipse installation directory, where/usr/local/eclipsecdt/is the installation directory

3) permissions to modify files

chmod u+x eclipse.desktop

4) Run Eclipse

Click the Eclipse shortcut in the upper-left corner to run eclipse
