Animation is generated by the frame to achieve, what is the frame? What's the difference between a frame, a keyframe, and a blank frame? This article will introduce you to the relationship between the three.

  1. Concepts of frames, keyframes, and blank keyframes

  Frame -is the most basic unit for Flash animation, each wonderful flash animation is composed of many carefully crafted frames, each frame on the timeline can contain all the content that needs to be displayed, including graphics, sound, various materials and many other objects.

   keyframes--As the name suggests, have keyframes for key content. A frame used to define an animation change, change state, or frame on the editing stage where an instance object exists and can be edited.

  Blank keyframe--a blank keyframe is a keyframe that does not contain the contents of an instance on the stage.

  Normal Frame --a frame on the timeline that displays an instance object, but cannot edit an instance object.

  2. The difference between frames, keyframes and blank keyframes

1 keyframes appear as solid dots on the timeline, blank keyframes appear as hollow dots on the timeline, and regular frames appear as gray-filled squares on the timeline.

2 in the same layer, insert the keyframe at any subsequent frame in the previous keyframe, is to copy the object on the previous keyframe and edit it; If you insert a regular frame, you can not edit the contents of the previous keyframe; Insert a blank keyframe to clear the continuation after the frame. You can add a new instance object on a blank keyframe.

3 Frame Action scripts can be added on keyframes and blank keyframes, but not on normal frames.

  3. The role of frames, keyframes, and blank keyframes

A frame is an extension of time for the shape of a keyframe, allowing the object to remain in the same state for longer periods of time;

KeyFrames are what you need when you need to move or change the object, the first keyframe is the starting state of the object, and the second keyframe is the end state of the object, while the middle tween frame is the process of the object having the first keyframe to the second keyframe;

A blank keyframe is a stage where nothing is available, and it is useful to do something when it disappears, and if you need him to disappear in the middle, you can insert a blank keyframe in the middle of the timeline.

  4. Issues to be noted in application

1) should be as much as possible to save the use of key frames to reduce the volume of animation files;

2 try to avoid excessive use of key frames at the same frame, in order to reduce the burden of animation operation, so that the screen playback smooth.
