Experience the beauty of flash painting
In the vast ocean, there are all kinds of fishes, and they roam freely in the ocean. Do you know any of the following fishes? As shown in Figure 1~5. They are "multicolored big Mouth fish", "beautiful little Flying Fish", "vicious big Shark", "chubby little fat fish", "small cute little octopus".

Let's take a look at the previous two kinds of fish to realize the process for example, to explore Flash's super painting ability.

The design of the big Mouth fish
1. Open the Flash 2004 Chinese version, first build a big mouth fish movie clip. Click the insert → new symbol command in the menu bar or press the shortcut key Ctrl+f8 to open the Create New Symbol dialog box, set the name to a big mouth fish, act as a graphic, and click OK to enter the editing workspace for the big Mouth fish graphic. Next, click the Pencil tool in the Toolbox and select Smooth Mode in the options below the Toolbox. then expand the property panel below the workspace to set the stroke height to 3 and the stroke color to black. At the same time for the convenience of operation, we can enlarge the stage display.

2. Below we draw the big mouth fish in the work area. The design of the big Mouth fish is divided into four parts: fish body, fish head, fin, fish tail. Let's start with the fish. Click the Oval tool in the toolbox, close the fill color in the color area, and then draw an elliptical object in the center of the stage. Next click the partial Selection tool in the Toolbox and click the Oval, when we see a lot of control points on the ellipse, drag the mouse to shape the oval like a fish body, as shown in Figure 6.

3. Next we will draw the fish eye and the fish mouth. Click the Oval tool in the toolbox and draw a small oval in the upper-left part of the fish body. Then click the Selection tool in the toolbox and select the small segment of the box with the fish body, press the DELETE key on the keyboard to delete the small segment. Then click on the Pencil tool, draw a small curved arc in this small oval, and then use the Ellipse tool for the eye point of a small point, the eye part can be completed. As shown in Figure 7.

Next we draw the fish mouth. We use the Pencil tool to make this part of the drawing, draw a mouth shape, and then use the partial selection tool to adjust to the image shown in Figure 8, and use the selection tool to remove the extra lines.

4. The fish tail is drawn. Click the Selection tool in the toolbox, drag a rectangular selection at the very end of the ellipse, and then delete the selected line by pressing Del, and then click the Line tool in the Toolbox to draw a few lines in the fish tail and make them scalloped. Then use a pencil or line tool to connect the lines, and use the selection tool to adjust the shape of each line, the effect of the fish tail as shown in Figure 9.

5. Here we design the dorsal fin and the pelvic fin. Click the Line tool in the Toolbox to draw several lines of varying lengths in the upper part of the fish body. Then use the selection tool to bend the line into an arc, and finally use the Pencil tool to connect the lines. In the same vein, draw another small dorsal fin and pelvic fin. The shape of the dorsal fin and pelvic fin is shown in Figure 10. Then select the Line tool, draw two straight lines behind the mouth of the fish, then adjust the arc with the selection tool, then draw a fish fin in the center of the fish body, the method of operation is similar to the method described above, the final effect is shown in Figure 11. Part of the selection tool can be used throughout the operation to adjust the detail.

6. Finally, we're going to add color to the design of the big mouth fish. Set the fill color to fade in the color area in the toolbox, and then click the Paint Bucket tool in the toolbox, select the middle space in the options area below the toolbox, and add the color to the fish. In the same vein, fill the braised of the big mouth fish with red. You can also in accordance with their own preferences will be different parts of the big mouth fish to fill the beautiful color. Save it to the library for our later design of the Big Mouth fish animation and standby.

The design of small flying fish
1. With the foundation of the above Big mouth fish design, we are very easy to design the small flying fish. First set up a small flying fish graphical symbols, and then in the small flying fish editing work area, the use of elliptical tools to draw fish body, and using a part of the selection tool to adjust the Oval control point to form the shape of the fish body. Then use the selection tool to remove the back portion of the ellipse to connect the tail, as shown in Figure 12.

2. Below we design the fish tail. The design of the fish tail is done using line tools and pencil tools, where the lines on both sides of the fish tail are thick, while the middle lines we choose are thin lines to sketch.

3. The design of fish eyes and dorsal fin. Select the Oval tool in the toolbox, draw two small ellipses together in the front of the fish body, then sketch out two eyes with a pencil tool, draw the lashes with a thin line, and sketch a small circular arc below the fish's eye as the fish beak, as shown in Figure 13.

The dorsal fin of the flying fish is like two wings, and we use the Pencil tool and the line tool to do it. The design steps are as follows: First use the line tool to outline the approximate shape of the two wings, as shown in Figure 14, and then use the selection tool and part selection to adjust it, adjust the arc and smooth, then select a good-looking fill color to fill the two wings. Finally, we give this little flying fish filled with beautiful color, fish body color for #ff9999, fish eye color for #ff00ff, the overall effect came out. Then convert it to a component named little flying Fish, a behavioral movie clip, and click OK to save it to the library.
