From this unit, we will gradually introduce the Flash8.0 five kinds of common animation forms: Frame animation, shape tween animation, motion tweens, mask animation, guide line animation.
This section focuses on frames-by-frame animation (Frameby frame), which is a common animation technique that breaks down animation actions in "continuous keyframes," which are different in each frame, and are animated continuously.
Because frame-by-frame animation is not the same content, not only increases the production burden and the final output of the volume is also very large, but its advantages are also obvious: because it is similar to the film playback mode, it is very suitable for performing very delicate animation, such as 3D effect, character or animal sharp turn and so on effect.
1. Frames-by-frame animation concepts and representations on time frames
Frame-by-frame frames are called frames-by-frame animations, so frames-by-frame animations have a lot of flexibility and can almost express any content you want to show.
Frame-by-step animations appear as consecutive keyframes on the time frame, as shown in Figure 3-2-1.

2. Several ways to create frame-by-layer animation
(1) using the imported static picture to establish the frame-by animation
In the form of JPG, PNG, and other static pictures in the continuous import of flash, you will establish a frame by step animation.
(2) Draw vector-by-frame animation
Use a mouse or a pressure-feeling pen in the scene of a frame frame to draw the frame content.
(3) text-by-frame animation
Use text as frame components, to achieve text jumping, rotation and other special effects.
(4) Import sequence image
You can import GIF sequence images, swf animation files, or animation sequences produced by 3rd party software such as swish, swift, etc.
3. Drawing paper function
(1) The function of drawing paper
Drawing paper is an auxiliary feature that helps you locate and edit animations, which is especially useful for making frame-by-step animations. In general, Flash can only display a single frame of an animation sequence at a time on the stage. With the drawing paper feature, you can view two or more frames at a time on the stage.
As shown in Figure 3-2-2, this is the scene after using the drawing paper function, you can see that the contents of the current frame in full color display, the other frame content in translucent display, it makes us look as if all the frame content is drawn on a translucent drawing paper, the contents of each other stacked together. Of course, at this point you can only edit the contents of the current frame.
Figure 3-2-2 shows changes in multiple frame content at the same time
(2) Introduction of various buttons of drawing paper
When the drawing paper skin button presses this button, a drawing paper skin mark appears above the time frame. Pull both ends of the appearance mark to enlarge or decrease the display range. Drawing paper after the appearance of this button, the scene shows the outline of the contents of each frame, the fill color disappears, especially suitable to observe the object contour, in addition to save system resources, speed up the display process. 3. The drawing paper displays multiple frame buttons, which can display all the frame contents, and can be edited at multiple frames. After modifying the drawing paper marker Press, the pop-up menu has the following options in the menu:
The Always Show markup option displays a drawing paper skin mark in the timeline title, regardless of whether the drawing paper looks open.
The anchor drawing paper skin marker option locks the drawing paper skin markers in their current position in the timeline header. Typically, the drawing paper's appearance range is related to pointers to the current frame and to the drawing paper's appearance marks. You can prevent them from moving with the current frame's pointer by anchoring the drawing paper skin markers.
The Drawing paper 2 option displays two frames on both sides of the current frame.
The Drawing paper 5 option displays five frames on both sides of the current frame.
The Draw all option displays all frames on both sides of the current frame.
Above, we have a comprehensive introduction to frame-by-step animation features and create methods, now, we have to create two frames-by-frame animation instances to deepen the understanding of frame-by-animation.
4. The leopard running
On the vast snowy plains, there is a vigorous leopard in the running jump, this is a use of imported continuous bitmap created by the frame-by animation, as shown in Figure 3-2-3.

1. Create a movie document
Execute the "file" | "new" command, after selecting the "General" | "Flash document" option in the pop-up panel, click OK to create a new movie document, set the file size to 400*260 pixel on the properties panel, and "Background color" as white, as shown in Figure 3-2-4.

2. Create a background layer
Select the first frame, execute the "file" | "Import to Scene" command, and import the picture named "Snow. bmp" In this example into the scene. In frame 8th, press F5, and the frame content is extended by the transition frame.
3, Import GIF animation
Create a new layer, select the first frame, and perform the "file" | "Import to Scene" command and import the "Run Leopard" series in this tutorial. At this point, a dialog box pops up, as shown in Figure 3-2-5.
