For those computer geeks who often need to save their friends or reinstall their operating systems, the long wait for each installation of Windows is a torment. Although there are ghost such as partition mirroring software, but each computer configuration caused by Windows for hardware detection is not the same, coupled with the Windows xp/2003 unique activation strategy, which seems to make ghost useless. In fact, these are not the solution, as long as the automatic answer file and ghost organically combined, we can also create a suitable for all computers Windows packaging package, so it takes only 10 minutes to complete the tedious installation of the previous few hours.
First, uninstall the driver
As you all know, when you first install Windows, the system detects the current computer hardware and installs the appropriate drivers, so you need to uninstall a variety of drivers before you have a normal Windows packet. This is also necessary for the eventual package to be used in other computers.
1. Uninstall the hardware driver
Uninstall the hardware driver is not in the Device Manager at random Uninstall, must be in a certain order, usually we can refer to the network card, USB devices, sound cards, video cards, monitors and other steps. When uninstalling the driver, first select a device from Device Manager, then right-click and choose Uninstall from the pop-up menu.
2. Change the ACPI property
ACPI is the meaning of advanced power management, although most computers today support ACPI features, but different ACPI types of motherboards, if you and others use the computer is not ACPI, then the computer can not be soft shutdown failure, you must change the ACPI properties. When you change the ACPI property, select "Computer →acpi uniprocessor PC" from the Explorer, then select "Update Driver" from the right mouse menu, and in the Driver Update Wizard that appears, select "Install from list or specified location → do not search." I'm going to choose the program I want to install, so I can see the window shown in Figure 1 (Figure 1) and change the ACPI type to "Standard PC".
3. Change Drive Properties
It is important to change the properties of a disk drive during the creation of the Windows Encapsulation package, and if you omit this step, other computers will have trouble booting the computer after installing Windows with this package, and restarting it continuously. Therefore, we need to change the IDE controller to a standard dual-channel PCI IDE controller, so that it can be applied to various types of motherboards today. First locate the IDE controller that is currently in use from the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller in Explorer, right-click the mouse, select Change Driver from the pop-up menu, and then select Install from list or specified location → do not search in the Driver Update Wizard that appears. I'm going to choose the program I want to install, and finally choose the standard dual-channel PCI IDE controller from the window.
After you have uninstalled the drivers for these three areas, you can basically use Windows automated answer files to create packages. Note, however, that regardless of whether you uninstall the hardware driver or change the related properties, the system prompts you to restart the computer when you are done, so remember not to restart the computer, but to automatically shut down the computer in the following encapsulation process. Otherwise, you will be prompted to discover new hardware after you restart your computer, and you need to install a new driver.
