The path is vector. If anything in the image is vector, then it is made up of paths.
The path can be a closed area similar to a selection, or it can be just a line of lines that are not connected to each other, called closed paths and open paths. The line can be a straight line or a curve, or both.
does not directly form part of the image, it can affect image pixels only after it is used as a layer mask or as a fill and brush stroke.
There are several tools that can operate on the path, namely the Pen tool, the free Pen tool, the Add Anchor Point tool, the Delete Anchor Point tool, and the conversion point tool. These 5 tools are used to draw and modify paths. There are also path selection tools and direct selection tools, both of which are used to select paths, but are functionally different.
Pen tool 〖p/shift_p〗 Change the drawing mode to a path in the public bar to ensure that the eraser is turned off
After clicking on the first place, the mouse cursor changes to. The former indicates that a new path will be drawn, which indicates that it is in the path drawing.
Strokes vs. fragments
Each clicked Point has a block, some of which are hollow (such as 1, 2, 3) and have a solid (such as 4). These points are called anchor points. The segment between each of the two anchor points is called a fragment.
The process of drawing a path is actually the process of specifying the location of the anchor point, and the position of the anchor determines the direction of the path. It is important to remember this concept. Since it is the anchor point, then for a path that has already been drawn, changing the position of the anchor point can change the direction of the path.
Direct Selection Tool 〖a/shift_a〗 can move the anchor point and move the stroke using the up or down key
Shift to select multiple strokes
Shift-click on an anchor that is already selected to cancel the selection of that anchor point
Window-Path to open path panel
Deletes an existing stroke. P can then delete only the non-endpoint strokes of the open path
Adding a stroke within the path adds the anchor path that can become a curve outside of the connection self-retaining stroke to continue adding.
There's also a dedicated add and remove strokes tool.
