Let me tell you some of my useful Photoshop tips! I know everyone likes to download materials, but good materials also need good techniques to use them well. Because of this we can reduce the energy spent on the operation itself, to use in how to use your material. I hope you will enjoy my tips and you will find them to be very useful.
1. Is the layer really empty?
When you're working with multiple layers of files, it's easy to stack layers as high as mountains. Perhaps you are a careless designer and never bother to change the name of the layer. Well, let's say you want to deal with a mountain of layers now and delete those blank layers. Wait, are those empty layers really empty?
Here's a tip, hold down the CTRL key and click on the layer thumbnail, and if you see a "warning: no pixels are selected," OK, the layer is empty. If you want to delete the empty layer directly, select File > Script > Remove all empty layers.
2. Clear sample
If you're working on a high-resolution image with noise, it's hard to pick the color you want, and you'll find that you accidentally picked up the color of the noise. The correct approach is to change the size of the sample range, using average sampling when you select the Eyedropper tool, you will see the sample size on the options bar and select a larger range to mask noise interference.
3. Lock your brush settings
Not many people know about this awesome function. When you select a new brush, all parameters are adjusted to the set parameters of the brush. If you click on the small lock icon on the right, the parameters will be locked, which is really useful. When you unlock the lock, the brush immediately jumps back to the default parameter. To restore all of the parameter settings, you can click the Drop-down menu in the upper-right corner to cancel all the option lock parameters.
4. Base color Layer
Many times, you need to create a solid color layer to add some effect. You may use lens flares or noise to create impurities, do non-destructive deepening or dodge operations, or any effect that requires a black, white, and gray-solid color layer. Usually when you create this type of layer, you need to adjust the blending mode of the layer to "mix" to remove the underlying color and leave the layer effect. You can create layers--fill color--Add effects--Modify the blending mode, you can also do the following: When you click the New Layer button at the bottom of the panel while holding down the ALT key, select the blending mode in the Drop-down menu, you can also see the check box below, check it, you can easily create a new layer.
5. Drag your lens at random flare
When it comes to lens flares, do you know that you can actually add a lens flare to the middle of the image? In fact, you can add flares anywhere in the layer. When you select "Filter--lens flare" you will see a preview diagram where you can directly adjust the position of the flare by dragging it directly in the preview.
6. Layer Style control
When you create a layer style, you can reposition the projection, the inner shadow, and the gradient overlay effect by dragging between the files. This is more convenient and intuitive than the method of adjusting the slider.
7. Smooth Line
Sometimes when you say a pixel-style line is dragged into Photoshop, you'll find that they have sharp edges, which is really hard to see, but we have a way to fix them. Use filters-Blur-Gaussian blur (2 to 6 pixels). Then press CTRL + L to add a threshold adjustment layer, drag the black and white two sliders to the middle position, so you'll find the curve softer.
8. Create a new layer below your current layer
Typically, new layers appear above the current layer when you create a new layer. What do you do if you want to create layers below the current layer? Hold down the CTRL key and click the new Layer button underneath the Layers panel.
9. Back up a layer directly in your document
There are many ways to copy a layer, for example, you can drag a layer over the letter layer button to implement it, or press CTRL + J. But how do you move them while backing up layers? When you drag a layer, you can back up the layer to the desired layer order position by pressing the ALT key.
10. Convert a selection
I know you already know how to move a selection while you're creating it, press the SPACEBAR when you draw, or press SHIFT to select the same selection with the same width, or press the ALT key to move the zoom point to the center of the selection, where there is another selection operation tip: Select "Select- Convert Selection ", you can then move the free transform tool to manipulate the selection. Right-click to see all the options.
11. From layers to files, from files to layers
Merging all the images into one layer is cumbersome and even more troublesome is to save different layers as different files! Good news! You can get Photoshop to do the work automatically. For the former, select "file-script-load file", select your files, click OK, they will be loaded onto a layer. For the latter, select "file-script-everywhere layer to file", you can also choose "file-script-image processing" For more options to adjust.
12. Where is the light effect filter? Hint: 32-bit
You might be wondering where the light filter effect went? You might know that with "filters--lenses--light effects," The good news is: in CS5 (I think the most stable, the bad news is that it only appears in 32bit mode (which also makes some of your old plug-ins work).
13. Video Filter
Photoshop Development Edition (Extended) has the ability to process video. Most of the effects you can use on images can be applied to video. You may have experimented with such filters, but found that their effects appear on a single frame. The secret is that you can turn the video into a smart object. Once you convert to a smart object, the filter effect works for the entire video.
