15R (SE7520) Win8 disc + detailed efi Method

This tutorial only provides reference for 14R, 15R, and 17R.
The setting items are not all absolute. If you have any questions, please point out in detail. If you have any errors, please correct them in detail.

This method only improves the cold start speed, but the hot start cannot improve the cold start: after the power is down, press the power key to start the computer
Hot Start: restart the computer, etc.
This guidance is combined with the GPT method and has advantages over MBR in system maintenance.

This tutorial will format the entire hard disk. You must back up important data on the hard disk to avoid data loss.
This tutorial involves BIOS operations. The F2 option and F12 option are displayed on the boot hardware LOGO page, F2 is the BIOS, and F12 is the boot settings.
Before reading this tutorial, You must burn a Win8 ISO file to a CD,

0. Click the Dell official BIOS. Version: A07
1. First, burn the ISO to the CD.

5. After the settings are complete, you will see this prompt. Please press the keyboard to go to the optical drive.
8. This step is detailed.
1. convert an MBR disk to a GPT disk.
Type
Diskpart
Open the diskpart Tool
Select target disk
List disk -------------------- list disks owned by the System
Select disk 0 -------------- select disk 0 (determine your target disk based on the disk size)

2. Clear the target disk and convert it to the GPT format.
Clean --------------------------- clear the disk. Do not replace C with c in upper case.
Convert gpt ------------------ convert a disk to the GPT format
List partition ----------------- list partitions on the disk. The partition is empty because the partition is just converted to the GPT format.
3. Create an EFI partition and system installation Partition

Select partition 3 move focus to the first primary partition, GUID = 3
Format fs = Ntfs quick format partition to Ntfs
Click Refresh and install the system in the first primary partition. Subsequent partitions can be partitioned in windows.




Because we use EFI boot, the Microsoft LOGO will be automatically replaced by Dell. See the following


Installation complete!

Create partition efi size = 200 --------------- create an EFI partition. The size is 200 Mcreate partition msr size = 128 -------------- create an MSR partition. If Microsoft creates a partition by default, the size is 128 M.
Create partition primary size = 51200 ------- create a primary partition with a size of 50 GB. Adjust the size as needed. This partition is used to install win8. The created size is 102400, that is, 100 GB.
List partition --------------------------------- list partitions on a disk
Tip: Generally, the boot is successfully installed. The Boot interface is of high resolution. If the score is 800X600, check the settings.
