I spent a great effort trying to install Office successfully. Because WPS was previously installed, installing Office after uninstalling has never been installed and a code of 1706 error has occurred. Finally, after several toss-ups, finally successfully installed, now record their own experience as follows:
1. Of course, first of all you need to uninstall the software you do not want to use WPS
2. Go to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ directory and delete the Office 11 folder
3. Go to C:\Documents and settings\administrator\application data\microsoft\office Delete Office 11 related files.
4. Go to the C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Office Directory and delete the Office 11 folder.
5. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data Directory, delete opa11.dat and Opa11.bak files
6. Enter the registry: cmd----regedit
7. Locate the following registry key and right-click Delete:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office
8. Finally download a Microsoft install Clear up, uninstall something about Office, restart your PC, click Run Office installation package, everything OK
