3D Print Costume Halloween is not your mo-Dream factory

You want to be different on Halloween. 3D Printing technology recently, in order to meet the upcoming Halloween, renowned artist Aiman Akhtar has made use of 3D printing technology to create a very unique set of clothing. As you can see, when Jessica Dru Johnson wears it, it instantly turns the supermodel into the brightest star on Earth.

As a task commissioned by the 3D Print World magazine, this dazzling 3D print garment has been widely praised. As for its designer, Akhtar is a talented 3D artist. Prior to that, he had worked as a freelance 3D designer for nearly 10 years, creating many fine works for several fashion brands.

According to the dream Factory understand, in order to create this clothing, Akhtar first through the scan to obtain the model's body data, and then based on the data using ZBrush for creative carving. In order to make the costume fit perfectly with the model, he also used the dynamic grid function and Maya software. Finally, he used his own form1+ 3D printer to make a part of the costume, leaving the rest to the well-known 3D print service provider Shapeways and 3D hubs. From the initial concept to the final finished product, the whole process took nearly 4 months.

In an interview, Akhtar explained how the costume was created. My aim is to create a garment that can only be made out of 3D printing in any other way, so it comes with many complex internal honeycomb structures. Its shoulder is a directly printed interlocking structure, while the chest armor is left with ample internal space for the fiber to pass through. I was going to make it bigger and get a complete dress, but the budget and time are not enough. So the final finished product, as now seen, is a skeleton structure.
