64-bit Linux installation nvidia graphics driver

Source: Internet

I use the 64-bit Debian 8.6 To install NVIDIA graphics driver when I encounter a waring that causes my graphics card driver to never install successfully

After searching the internet, I solved the problem, and now I write down the information for those who meet the same problem.

The warning is as follows:

WARNING: Unable to find a suitable destination to install 32-bit compatibility libraries. Your system may not be set up for 32-bit compatibility. 32-bit compatibility files will not be installed; if you wish to install them, re-run the installation and set a valid directory with the --compat32-libdir option.

Workaround:

Run command

sudo aptitude install ia32-libs

Then install the driver again, and no more warning will appear.
