As with earlier versions of Access, the status bar is also displayed at the bottom of the window in Office Access 2007. This standard UI element continues to be maintained to find status messages, property hints, progress indicators, and so on. In Office Access 2007, the status bar also has two standard features, the same as the status bar seen in other office Professional 2007 Programs: View/Window switching and scaling.
You can quickly toggle the active window between available views by using the controls available on the status bar. If you want to see objects that support variable scaling, you can use the slider on the status bar to adjust the scaling to enlarge or shrink the object.
In the Access Options dialog box, you can enable or disable the status bar.
Show or hide the status bar
Click Microsoft Office buttons, and then click Access Options.
The Access Options dialog box appears.
In the left pane, click Current Database.
Under Application options, select or clear the Show status bar check box. When the check box is cleared, the status bar display closes.
Click OK.
