ActiveX Control Return Value

When using ATL to write ActiveX controls, the return value type of the method is fixed to hresult. If you need a return value for a method, you can use [out, retval] to modify the parameter. When you call this method using a script, this parameter is the return value of the method.

For example, the method defined is

Hresult getresult ([ Out , Retval] BSTR * Pval );

 

In script

VaR V = Control ID. getresult ();

 

You can return the BSTR value.

Also, note the writing method when returning the character type, for example:

Stdmethodimp creader: getstring (BSTR * Str)
{
* Str = Ccombstr ( " Hello, string " ). Copy ();

ReturnS_ OK;
