A high-level Ethernet passthrough service between two nodes (not in the same ring) across MSTP rings is called an end-to-end leased line. This solution is easy to implement and fast. the physical layer channel is dedicated to the Ethernet service to ensure QoS. the leased line bandwidth is 2 Mbps (or smaller, 100 KB) granular on-demand configuration. based on LCAS, you can flexibly adjust the leased line bandwidth (online) based on your needs. The SDH layer mechanism is used to protect Ethernet services, which is efficient and reliable; different Ethernet services are isolated from each other to ensure effective user isolation. they are transparent to VLAN, STP, and layer-3 protocols and do not affect user-layer services.
  
2) multi-point-to-point passthrough combines data device networking services using multiple point-to-point passthrough Ethernet lines, combined with data devices (such as layer-2 switches) can provide local interconnection services for some major customers. Connect end users with LAN switches or Router at different POP points through high-quality Ethernet lease lines. MAC switching, VLAN switching, or business protection can be achieved through external data devices. The advantages of this solution are: maintaining the characteristics of the Ethernet lease line, making full use of the existing data facilities of the end user, and effectively isolating the data layer and the transmission layer.
  
3) shared ethernet leased line service (VLAN leased line) shared ethernet leased line is a service that establishes multiple Ethernet Leased lines between two nodes of the MSTP network to share the same transmission bandwidth (same VCG, users of a leased line are differentiated and isolated by vlan id. This service requires MSTP to have an Ethernet switching function, which is implemented using an Ethernet switching board.
  
4) point-to-point/end dynamic leased line service MSTP devices use elastic grouping ring (RPR), Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) and other mechanisms to provide dynamic bandwidth management capabilities, it can provide dynamic and adjustable bandwidth leased line services, provide excess bandwidth leasing, improve the bandwidth utilization of transmission networks, increase the flexibility of leased line services, and facilitate operators to provide customized leased line services for various customers, to provide operators' competitiveness and business income.
  
5) The Ethernet aggregation service (MSTP) supports two-layer Ethernet switching for business convergence, which can further improve the utilization of transmission bandwidth and reduce the number of Ethernet ports on the center/station, it meets the requirements for the LAN broadband access service and the upstream service of the adsl dslam ip.
  
6) ads ldslam atm upstream aggregation service MSTP supports atm vp/VC exchange, which can be used for business aggregation and further improve the utilization rate of transmission channels. If the adsl dslam upstream uses an ATM interface, MSTP is used to provide an ATM interface, and the service is aggregated and then transmitted to the ATM core network or IP network, not only can the bandwidth usage of the upstream channel be provided, it can also reduce the number of ATM ports used by core network devices.
  
7) currently, MSTP devices support the RPR-based Ethernet shared ring function. Combining the low cost of Ethernet interfaces with the efficient protection of SDH networks to build an Ethernet ring network is a hot topic in the development of man. Through the Ethernet ring network, you can implement Transparent LAN services (TLS ). In the MSTP transmission system, virtual LAN interconnection services can be provided for major customers with multiple branches to achieve local interconnection of major customers. Multiple major customers can share a virtual channel and use VLAN IDs to isolate them.
  
8) various VPN service MSTP devices provide a wide range of business interfaces. through flexible networking methods, MSTP devices can provide users with various VPN services, including leased line VPN and shared ring VPN.
  
Generally, both VPN and VPN use VLAN IDs for user security isolation. the passthrough VPN has higher security features and is isolated from each other, however, the bandwidth utilization is not high.
