On April 9, January 6, Alibaba Cloud announced its enterprise-level Internet architecture core component, enterprise-level Distributed Application Service (EDAS), which is also the first large-scale enterprise-level distributed application service in China.

In July this year, enterprises encountered problems such as performance bottlenecks, data Islands, and repeated development on the cloud, alibaba Cloud provides an enterprise-level Internet architecture solution that is unlimited, scalable, and capable of agile innovation, greatly reducing the cost of migrating enterprises to the cloud. As a core component, EDAS has been honed by Taobao's 10-year internet architecture and is suitable for quickly building large-scale distributed Internet applications. It is an important member of the Alibaba cloud middleware product family.

Currently, Alibaba Cloud EDAS has been used in government affairs, logistics, Internet of Vehicles, operators, large private enterprises, and other fields, star companies such as Sinopec, Hongling Venture Capital, and Mango TV have successfully built their own internet services using Alibaba Cloud EDAS.

One-stop PaaS platform with 5 k o & M capability for a single application

Alibaba Cloud EDAS is the crystallization of Alibaba's ultra-large scale Internet e-commerce system. It has accumulated 10 years of O & M experience and a large number of O & M tools, and has the ability to quickly release up to 5000 servers for a single application, including personalized Beta and batch release mechanisms.

The distributed service framework provided by EDAS comes from the HSF, Alibaba's largest middleware product. Since its birth in 2007, the HSF service framework has become a basic component of Alibaba's internal service transformation. Its decentralized architecture system, tested performance, and good user experience, it supports service-oriented calls of all systems in the production environment, with an average of hundreds of billions of calls per day within Alibaba, and 3 billion calls per minute at peak.
As a "application"-centered PaaS platform, Alibaba Cloud EDAS products and services cover the process from application creation to application deployment and expansion, it can fully manage large-scale internet applications during release and operation, and realize automatic scaling based on the server load and application business indicators.

In addition, EDAS has many unique features: it provides standard Java Web application containers, integrates multiple mature internet middleware, provides a Taobao-level container environment for enterprise-level applications, and is fully compatible with Apache Tomcat; supports comprehensive monitoring of IssS, containers, applications, and businesses, and allows customers to customize application business report dashboards based on their own business scenarios; the EagleEye monitoring system can analyze every system call, message sending, and database access of the distributed system to precisely discover system bottlenecks and risks.

Internet architecture solves Internet problems

On June 18, April 1, 2015, Alibaba Cloud helped Sinopec set up its industrial goods e-commerce website "Yi Paike" to be officially launched. As Sinopec's first Internet-based e-commerce platform, it only takes three months from project initiation to launch.
