Altium Designer6 Generate Gerber File
1) Click "Start", "Altium Designer6" to open the software as shown:
2) Open the layout original file you want to convert in the File menu
3) Place the hole graph list string, click Place--àstring in the main menu, then press TAB to select "Lengend" in the text bar, and the layer bar to select "Drilldrawing", as shown in figure.
4) Unit switch, press "q" shortcut to switch between the male and English, press once "Q" for the metric, and then press "Q" for Imperial. Note: You can see the units in the "Mi", "MM" switch between the status bar;
5) Start turning Gerber File, click Fileàfabrication outputsàgerber Files, as shown in figure
6) in the popup menu bar, select the following parameters, as shown in Figure Units: Inch
Format: 2:5 (note that to select the 2:5 format, this translates the file to a higher precision)
7) Select the layer and parameters to convert, click the Layers menu in the plot layers bar to select used on;
Select all off in the mirror layers bar to prevent graphics mirroring.
8) Set the hole layer parameters, click the Drill Drawing menu, set the following parameters in the pop-up drop-down menu, will drill Drawing plots column plot all used layer Paris tick, as the figure will drill Drawing The symbol for the symbols bar is selected as "characters"
9) Aperture table setting, by default we turn to Rs274x (contains D code format), as shown in figure
10) Light Drawing global parameter settings, by default the design is the arc of the line to go out is still an arc, such as the other column under the "Use software arcs" tick, the design of the arc will be replaced by line segments, as shown
11) Click OK, the software automatically converts the Gerber file and automatically opens the converted Gerber file with the embedded CAM2000 software. Note: The files that are transferred are automatically directed to the folder where the original files are located, so it is recommended that the original files be placed in a separate folder, as shown
12) Drilling file conversion, click Fileàfabrication outputsànc Drill files, as shown in figure
13) Set the parameters in the popup menu as shown in Figure Units: Inch
Format: 2:5 (note that to select the 2:5 format, this translates the file to a higher precision)
14) Click OK, the software automatically converts the Gerber file and automatically opens the converted drill with the embedded CAM2000 software. Note: The transferred files will automatically guide each layer to the folder where the original file is located, so it is recommended that the original file be placed in a separate folder;
15) The current transfer Gerber File (RS274. Format has a disadvantage, the long octagonal D code will become rounded rectangle, the octagonal D code will turn round, easy to lead to the design of the document, such as the odb++ format can avoid octagonal d code into the phenomenon, but the odb++ format to be imported with special software: such as Genesis, CAM350 and other software inputs.
A) Click Fileàfabrication outputsàodb++ files as shown
b) Set the odb++ parameter, click Plot layers-> Select used on, and the layer you want to convert opens. Click Mirror layers-> Select all off to close the layers of all mirrors, as shown
