Socket fm2+ Interface
the socket fm2+ is a successor to the socket FM2 and can be partially compatible with the socket FM2 processor. Socket fm2+ is the latest AMD Desktop platform CPU socket, the third generation Apu, compared to the second generation FM2, only two more pin support, PCIe 3.0 and unified addressable space, fm2+ motherboard October 2013 has been listed.

Socket FM2 Interface
socket FM2 is the CPU socket on the AMD desktop platform for the second-generation accelerated processor codenamed Trinity and Richland, and the specific model is the A10/a8/a6/a4/athlon processor. The FM2 interface is not backwards compatible with FM1.

Socket FM1 Interface
Socket FML is the interface used by AMD's newest APU processor with 905 jacks.

Socket am3+ Interface
The socketam3+ interface is AMD's interface standard introduced in October 2011 with 942 jacks, but only 940 of them are active and available for AMD FX series processors, and the am3+ interface is backwards compatible with AM3.

Socket AM3 Interface
The socket AM3 interface is AMD's February 2009 interface standard with 940 jacks, but only 938 of them are active and can be used with a variety of AMD processors, including the Sempron II, Athlon II, and Phenom II series. Socket AM3 replaces socket am2+ and is the new interface standard for AMD's full range of desktop CPUs.
Socket am2+ Interface
The socketam2+ interface is the interface standard that AMD introduced in 2007, and the number of jacks is exactly the same as SocketAM2, which can be used with a variety of AMD processors, including Athlon 64, Athlon X2, and Phenom series. Socketam2+ is fully compatible with socket AM2, the processor used for socket AM3 can also be used for socket am2+ motherboards, but socket am2+ processors are not available for socket AM3 motherboards. A processor interface is usually defined by the type of memory that supports the update, AM2 because the motherboard to support DDR2 memory is born. However, the am2+ interface does not support the DDR3,AM3 interface to fully support DDR3. Therefore, am2+ can only exist as a transitional interface.

Socket AM2 Interface
The SocketAM2 interface has 940 jacks and is the 64-bit desktop platform interface standard released by AMD in May 2006. It is mainly applicable to Sempron, Athlon 64, Athlon X2 and Athlon FX, which is the interface standard for AMD's full range of desktop CPUs. The socket AM2 will gradually replace the original socket 754 and socket 939, enabling the integration of AMD Desktop platform Interface standards.

Socket 939 Interface

The socket 939 interface has 939 jacks and is the 64-bit desktop platform interface standard released by AMD in June 2004. Mainly applicable to Athlon 64, Athlon X2 and Athlon FX.

Socket 754 Interface
The socket 754 interface has 754 jacks and is the 64-bit desktop platform interface standard released by AMD in September 2003. It is mainly suitable for low-end models of Athlon 64 and Sempron.
