Audiomanager in the Android API, it provides a way to adjust the phone volume.

Audioma.adjustvolume (audiomanager.adjust_lower, 0);
Audioma.adjustvolume (audiomanager.adjust_raise, 0);
can also adjust the phone's sound mode to vibrate or mute
