Android SDK installation Error "Android Failed to rename directory" workaround
Installing the Android SDK when you encounter failed to rename directory E:\Java\Android sdk\android-sdk_r06-windows\android-sdk-windows\tools to E : \java\android sdk\android-sdk_r06-windows\android-sdk-windows\temp\toolpackage.old01
The problem? Always prompt cannot rename?
The workaround is as follows:
1. Backup Tools Directory
2. Unzip the tools_r11-windows.zip under the temp directory and rename it to tools and replace the original tools
3. Start the SDK Setup again
Well, the problem has been overcome. Open the SDK to see that you are downloading platform and APIs.
Note: My SDK is android-sdk_r06-windows.zip, assuming the lower version number. The temp directory will have a toolpackage.new01 directory below, renaming this directory as tools and replacing the original tools.
