Interface Dimensions

The size of Android is numerous and it is recommended to use a size design with 720x1280 resolution. This size 720x1280 is perfect in the 1080x1920, it looks clearer in the picture, the image file size is also moderate, the memory consumption of the application is not too high.

1. The size or resolution of the Android app design specification

The screen size of the most recent Android phones is 5.5 inches. We all know that the size of Andro is very miscellaneous. And the different resolutions correspond to different DPI modes.

Android also supports a variety of different dpi modes: ldpi mdpi hdpi xhdpi xxhdpi xxxhdpi (4K resolution)

The current resolution of the mainstream Android phone has the following 3 kinds:

HDPI, corresponding to 800*480 's mobile phone. Mainstream models, many. such as Xiaomi 1, 1s samsung HTC etc.

In our Android app design project, we're not going to design a UI interface for every resolution. It is a state of pursuit of perfection and ideal. Small companies must not afford this.

So, we need to learn to be flexible at this time. In order to adapt to multi-resolution,

1: Start on the standard base (xdpi:1280*720), then zoom in or out to fit into the other dimensions.

2: Start with the maximum size of the device (xxdpi:1920x1080), then zoom out and adapt to the minimum screen size you want.

Sometimes we will be in the process of actual development, if the design of Android and iOS is not very different, you can also start with the resolution of iOS (960*640), and then adjust the scale of the design, to adapt to other resolutions. But this method needs to make some picture adjustment when transduction. If a component that is not a vector diagram needs to be re-designed according to the 1280*720 size.

2. Font and font size of Android app design specification

Note Minimum font: 12SP = = 24px

Text font: 14SP = = 28px

In general, the 48DP translates to a physical size of about 9 mm. The recommended target size is 7-10 mm range, which is an area where the user's finger can be accurately and comfortably touched.

If you design elements that are high and wide at least 48DP, you can guarantee:

(1). Touch targets will never be smaller than the recommended minimum target (7mm), no matter what screen is displayed.

(2). A good balance is achieved between the overall information density and the touch target size.

The white space between each UI element is usually 8DP.
