Android platform discovers new mobile phone virus Rootsmart

Some professors from North Carolina University pointed out that even if the Android Market has a new security mechanism Bouncer protection, hackers still have a way to bypass detection and steal infected mobile phone user information.The professor's team of researchers recently discovered a malware named Rootsmart, which is very mean-free and does not contain any malicious code, making Bouncer difficult to detect.

When the malware is successfully installed on a mobile phone, the preset program will be started several hours later, and the GingerBreak code that can obtain Root permissions will be downloaded from the server, whether it's text messages, call records, SD card files, mobile phones, or personal data, it's also a hacker's bag. You can even listen to conversation content and install third-party applications without any sound.

 
Fortunately, Rootsmart does not appear in the Android Market, but only in the Chinese third-party software Market. Therefore, everyone must be alert when downloading software. A Google spokesman responded that Rootsmart was temporarily out of Bouncer protection, so he did not comment.
