The server cache service, because the cache file is often large, the default is placed under the C drive is not enough disk space, so the server provides a way to increase the cache path to resolve the problem.
There are two ways to increase the number of paths, one is to add one to the server servers and the original cache path, but still in the local path; the other is the shared folder path on the other server as the cache path to the server where the server is located.
Here it is assumed that the map is on a machine, the server on the B machine, the shared folder on the C machine.
You can use the catalog operation in ArcMap, or you can log in to the Server Manager operation by using the browser-only the catalog operation is described here.
Official Help: http://resources.arcgis.com/zh-cn/help/main/10.2/index.html#//0154000002r5000000
In the first case, there is not enough disk space on the original path on the B machine to be a new cache path from a folder on the other disk of machine B:
Referring to the official Help documentation, it is important to note that the service connection in the document is a " managed Service Connection", and the third option is selected when creating a new connection. Action: Catalog→gis server→add ArcGIS Server
After the administrative connection is created, the last parentheses in the management connection are (Admin)
Right-click on the admin connection →server Properties ... Pop-up Select Cache Directory
Click Add, the new path can be filled out or you can click on the folder icon to add, adding a local path (if the path does not exist, the operation will be created after the completion).
After that OK application is OK.
In the second case, there is not enough disk space on the original path on the B machine, from a folder on the C machine as a new cache path:
Unlike adding a native path, selecting the folder for the C machine as the new cache path requires the server of machine B to be able to access the folder, so it needs to be shared.
The important things to note are also about shared folders.
After adding the cache path and then publishing the cache service, you can select the location where you want to create the cache in the Service editor interface →caching→advanced Settings.
