Arch Linux installation records (1)

Installing and learning about Arch Linux has always been my recent goal. On Sunday, I couldn't resist the temptation of Ubuntu 11.04. I upgraded Ubuntu 11.04 on the command line. The result was a tragedy and the video card was not supported. In my heart, this is the time for change. I am determined to cut out Ubuntu, install Arch Linux, and try again. If you do not try or try again, you are not eligible to make any comments.

Before doing things, I will come up with a guiding solution. Arch Linux, I have never been in touch with it before. If you rush to act rashly, you will suffer. Therefore, before installing Arch Linux, I searched the internet for a series of tutorials to see how to install it. The installation process is in the text mode. I am wondering, can I? Let me go out and install it !!

The result is amazing. I installed it successfully. The following is a record of my installation process. I hope you can refer to it later.

I mainly referred to Baidu post during the installation process. Thank you for your careful explanation. Now, I will explain the general content to you.

1. Download the Arch Linux ISO, which is more than 300 MB in total. Our school's speed is less than 1 minute!

2. Burn it to USB or CD. I burn it to CD. Restart the system and select USB boot/CD boot.

3. After entering the system, a logon prompt is displayed. Enter root or arch at the user name without a password.

4. Then, enter the installation command under the command line.

/arch/setup

Start installation.

5, a series of OK.

Then, the following menu appears. We will install it step by step as instructed. It is not possible to jump out of this option. We recommend that you follow the list shown in the figure to proceed step by step.

6. The first step is "Select Source". Here we Select CD. OK.
