Why modify the subscription name?

There are two main reasons:

(1) A problem was found recently. The default subscription name of azure for 21 vianet O & M in China is Chinese, for example, "trial account for enterprise customers.

However, in an English operating system, when you use a subscription selected by powershell, the Chinese subscription name will become garbled.

(2) In some cases, the customer's IT department needs to distinguish different purposes by the subscription name. The default subscription name of Windows azure cannot meet this requirement.

 

　　Here, I take windows azure (www.windowsazure.cn) for 21 vianet O & M as an example.

 

How do I modify the azure subscription name?

1. log on to the website and enter the user name and password.

-With 21 vianet Azure, visit https://account.windowsazure.cn/subscriptions

-Access https://account.windowsazure.com/subscriptions for azure outside China

 

2. Display All subscriptions under the account, such:

　　

　　

Select a subscription, such as tomike. Page jump, such:

　　

Click "Edit subscription details" in the red section ".

 

3. Modify the subscription name

In the displayed window, modify the subscription name ". Set the New subscription name to helloworld and click Save. For example:

　　

 

4. Refresh the result

Finally we click https://account.windowsazure.cn/subscriptions

Finally, in the azure portal (https://manage.windowsazure.cn/), we see the modified subscription, such:

　　

 

6. Filter subscriptions

In some cases, the azure administrator has multiple subscriptions. However, you only want to view one or more subscriptions, but not all subscriptions.

You can click manage portal, subscribe in the upper right corner, and filter by subscription. Click the application to view the selected subscription.
