Grub-install install GRUB on the first hard disk of the MBR:

# Grub-install ' (hd0) '

Grub-install will search for the device's corresponding file (/boot/grub/device.map) to determine the corresponding relationship between the BIOS disk number and the Linux device.

Each line of the device's corresponding file describes a "BIOS disk-Linux device" corresponding to the following format:

(disk)/dev/device

For example:

Assuming you have a floppy drive and a SCSI hard disk on your system, their correspondence should be described as follows:

(fd0)/dev/fd0

(hd0)/DEV/SDA
