There is a search form in the navigation bar, a "navbar-form" in the bootstrap framework, and a simple way to place a form with a Navbar-form class name in the NavBar container. Navbar-left "Let the form float to the left, better align." In the bootstrap framework, the "Navbar-right" style is also provided, allowing elements to align to the right of the navigation bar.
