Open the Default SNMP configuration file/etc/snmp. conf and change the following Configuration:
1. Search for the following code:
# Sec. Name source community
Com2sec notconfiguserDefault Public
Change the "Community" field to the password you want to set, for example, "public ".
Change "default" to which machine you want to view your SNMP information, such as 192.168.1.210.
2. Search for the following code:
# Finally, grant the Group read-only access to the systemview view.
# Group context sec. Model sec. Level prefix read write notif
# Access notconfiggroup "" any noauth exact systemview none
Access notconfiggroup "" any noauth exactAllNone none
Change the "read" field to all.
3. Search for the following code:
# Incl/excl subtree mask
#View All supported ded. 1 80
Remove "#" before this row.
Save and close.
4. Service snmpd restart
