Routing Protocol Overview :
- Through a routing protocol, many routes to the same target network are learned, and metric is placed in the routing table. Metric, the same time, put in the routing table.
- Through a variety of routing protocols learned to go to the same destination network routing, routing protocol Management Distance routing protocol learning from the route into the routing table.
Distance vector routing protocol features: Cycle update, full update, broadcast update
Link state routing protocol features: Trigger update, incremental update, multicast update

Configuration:
Router (config) #router RIP//Enter routing protocol RIP configuration mode
Router (Config-router) #version 2//change RIP version to second version
Router (config-router) #no auto-summary//Turn off Auto-summary function
Router (config-router) #network 192.168.1.0//Advertise the network into the RIP process
Router (config-router) #network 10.0.0.0
Router (config-router) #network 172.16.0.0
Router (Config-router) #end
If the network that contains the network address of the interface is included, the network address of the interface advertises into the RIP process and the update package is issued on that interface.
To advertise a routing entry rule:
Unlike the send port, which is not the same main class network, the summary is advertised as the primary class network. (No auto-summary can turn off sub-function)
With the send port on the same main class network, the same as the interface mask is advertised out, different will be discarded (V1 has this limit, V2 not)
ACL (Access Control List)
The standard acl:1-99 only matches the source IP address in the packet
The extended acl:100-199 can match the source IP address, destination IP address, source port number, destination port number, protocol in the packet
U ACL matching principle: top-down, first-match, end-implied rejection
