Introduction to Windows Service concepts
Windows service, also known as Windows Services, is a long-running background program in a 32-bit Windows operating system. They run in the background for a long time, without a user interface, unknown, but they are behind the normal operation of Windows hero, but never the end.
Windows Service programs provide a very important service for other system modules, and each Windows service has a clear division of labor, such as the IISADMIN service provides Web content publishing capabilities, if the IISADMIN service does not start, then static HTML page, ASP, ASP. NET or webservice, etc. a service called "Print Spooler" is used to provide print support, and if the service is not started, no software can be printed, such as word, Notepad, or report software, and so on.
When Windows starts, the Windows service starts when no user is logged on. Windows NT and Windows2000, as well as newer versions of the operating system, can run Windows services, but Windows98 and its earlier versions do not run the service.
We open Windows Explorer and select Desktop-Control Panel-Administrative Tools on the left tree list.
Open the Windows Services Manager by opening the services item in the list on the right.
