Three types of files are required:

ControlFile: multiplexing the controfile multiplexing Control File, pointing to other important files, storing serial numbers and timestamps

Online redo log: redo log files are archived in the online redo log file box. there are at least two groups. Each group has at least two members. After the first group is written, archive the first one and write the second one. you can move, add, or delete redo log files without stopping services.

Data File: creates at least two data files (SYSTEM tablespace (storage data dictionary) and SYSAUX tablespace (Storage Data Dictionary auxiliary data )). logically, they are segments of the repository. the server process reads data files, while DBWn writes data files.

External files: Initialize parameter files, password files, archive and redo log files, logs and trace files
