When we check site access statistics, the baidusp, Googlebot, and MSNBOT records we see in the browser briefing are the records left by the search robot, representing Baidu, Google, and MSN Search robots respectively.
2) Directory ):
Manually classify websites and create databases to provide queries. Such sites call "classification Directories ". Here, the "manual mode" can be completely manual. For example, you have a dedicated editing and review site to decide whether to include the site or not. You can also submit the site step by step to include the site.
Both search engines and classification directories have the same goal: to obtain website information and create a database for query. However, the method used is different. Because the "search engine" relies on software for automatic execution, its database capacity is very large, and the query results are often inaccurate. However, the "classification directory" relies on manual classification, the information obtained from the query must be accurate, but the collected content is very limited.
These two types are collectively referred to as "search engines", and many sites also provide queries based on these two types. For example, Sina search http://search.sina.com.cn/) by default is to query Sina's own Directory-"classification site" query, and when we query "all sites, it calls Google's search engine (you can use "times marketing network" to try it ).
For the current simplified Chinese network market, the most influential "search engines" are Baidu and Google, and the classification directories include Yahoo!
