Chown command, chown

Chown -- change the owner of a file or directory

ChAnge fileOwnErship

Command path:/bin/chown

Execution permission: the root user, that is, only the root user can perform this operation.

 

Example 1: Modify the directory owner

# Chown daqiao/tmp/nvyou

Daqiao is a common user. When you run the preceding command, the owner of the nvyou directory under the/tmp/directory is changed to daqiao.

Example 2: Modify the file owner

# Chown daqiao/tmp/nvyou/daqiaoweijiu

Daqiao is a common user. When you run the preceding command, the owner of the file daqiaoweijiu in the/tmp/nvyou directory is changed to daqiao.
