Customer Information Control System (CICs) is a powerful host Transaction Server and integrated platform of IBM. It has a vast majority of customers in the transaction middleware markets such as C, C ++, and Cobol. CICs has over 30 years of history and is developed in IBMUKHursley R & D center. The English pronunciation of CICs is kiks ". The CICs on distribution platforms such as AIX and HP are called txseries. The Transaction Server is also called the transaction processing middleware. Supports Online Transaction Service (OLTP), provides real-time transaction requests and responses, supports distributed transaction services, multiple data sources, heterogeneous data sources, and distributed collaborative applications, and supports two-phase submission. Middleware, front-end server, XAXA uses two-phase commit to manage distributed transactions. The Xa interface provides a standard interface for communication between the resource manager and the Transaction Manager. CICs uses the Xa interface protocol to connect to, operate, submit, and close databases. XA supports multi-stage commit processes and transaction rollback. The transaction processor sends a commit request to the database server and waits for the response from the database server. After receiving the response, the transaction is committed, or the server returns the result of a failed commit. During the dangerous period, the database completes data modification and log record processing from the time the request is sent to the time when the response is received.
