Beijing Time September 3 News According to foreign websites, a number of sources said Cisco Systems will establish a joint venture with EMC to develop a comprehensive data center platform that integrates computing, networking and storage.

Sources said the new joint venture would be a company jointly invested and operated by Cisco and EMC, although the company's name was not yet known, but Cisco and EMC are actively recruiting salespeople. Cisco said it did not comment on the rumors, and EMC declined to comment.

Sources say the new venture has no presence of VMware, the virtualization software vendor, which is owned by EMC and Cisco is an important investor. At the EMC Forum earlier this month, three companies announced the creation of a VCE alliance to jointly develop cloud computing products.
