cisco-Configuring SSH

PC directly connected to the switch port, the IP address of the PC is: 192.168.1.1/24

The steps to operate on the switch are as follows:

1. Set the switch management IP
Switch#conf T
Switch (config) #int vlan 1
Switch (config-if) #ip add 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0
Switch (config-if) #no sh

2. Set the switch enable password
Switch (config) #enable secret level Cisco

3. Set the domain name
Switch (config) #ip domain-name rtp.cisco.com

4. Set SSH key
Switch (config) #crypto key generate RSA General-keys modulus 1024

5. Set Allow SSH
Switch (config-line) #transport input SSH
Switch (config-line) #login Local

6. Create a local user name and password
Switch (config) #username 12345 privilege secret ABCDE

Then connect with SECCRT: username 12345, password ABCDE
