Cisco dynamic routing RIP configuration

Dynamic routing rip is used in a larger enterprise network when there are multiple routers.

Dynamic routing is the process by which routers communicate with each other, transmit routing information, and update routing tables with received routing information.

Dynamic routing Protocol Classification:
Distance vector routing protocol chooses routes such as RIP IGRP based on hop count
Link-state routing protocols Select routes based on metrics such as OSPF Is-is

RIP uses hops as a unique measure, with a maximum hop count of 15 and 16 hops as unreachable.
