Iv. Configuring logging Levels

Configure the logging level to define which services the system needs for log auditing, and what the granularity of the log is.

Specific practices:

Log in to Cognos administration,

Click the "Configure" tab, select "Scheduler and Services" in the list, and in the scheduler that appears on the right, tap the properties button to set the properties

Click on the "Settings" tab and set "Audit Content Manager log Level" to "basic" in the list of configuration parameters below and set "Audit reporting Service log level" to "request"

Determine the completion settings.

After returning to the scheduler page, tick the change scheduler and click on the "Refresh Scheduler-Configuration" icon button at the top right of the program.

V. Import Audit Report Compression package

Cognos comes with a report packet that shows audit data, which basically satisfies the system usage statistics, and we import the package to design and run the audit report.

Specific practices:

Copy the Ibm_cognos_audit.zip file (usually under the Cognos Server installation directory/webcontent/samples/content/) to the Cognos Server installation directory/deployment/directory.

On the "Configuration" tab of the Cognos administration page, select "Content Management", click on the "New Import" icon button at the top right, select "Ibm_cognos_audit" to compress the package, next

Select the public folder content "Samples_ Audit" packet, Next

Select "Perform imported user" as owner

Finish, run to perform the import.

Below we need to create a "ibm_cognos_audit" data source to connect to the audit library.

Click on "Data source connection" above the content management, click the "New Data Source" icon button in the upper right, give the data source name "Ibm_cognos_audit", Next, select the data source type, for example we select "Microsoft SQL Server (OLE DB)", Configuring Connection Parameters

Server name is localhost (if it is native) or IP address

Database name is Logdb

Login user name password is the new user in the audit library

The port number is set in the Cognos configuration

DB Instance Name: View the contents of the SQLServerAgent in the parentheses after the service item in Task Manager

After the test passes, "done".

Vi. Viewing audit information

Log in to Cognos connection and go to the public folder-->samples_audit directory with an "audit" packet that allows you to create your own audit report for the data package Rs.
