Definition and usage

The confirm () method is used to display a dialog box with the specified message, OK, and cancel buttons.

Syntax

confirm(message)

Parameters	Description
Message	Plain text (not HTML text) to be displayed in the dialog box that appears on the window)

Description

If you click OK, confirm () returns true. If you click the cancel button, confirm () returns false.

Before the user clicks the OK or cancel button to close the dialog box, it will block all user input to the browser. When confirm () is called, the execution of JavaScript code is suspended. The next statement is not executed until the user responds.

Tips and comments

Tip:The text of the button in the dialog box cannot be changed. Therefore, be careful when writing questions or messages so that they can be answered with confirmation or cancellation.
