Administrators can set the default language that is applied to all spaces in your confluence site. Note that a separate user can select their own language attributes in their own properties.
Set the default language
To modify the default language in the Confluence site:
- In the upper-right corner of the screen, click the console button , and then select the general Configuration link.
- In the left panel, under Configuration options, select Language (Languages).
- Select Edit and then select the default language you want to apply in your confluence site.
Confluence has the following languages installed by default:

- Deutsch (Deutschland | Germany)
