Connect Raspberry Pi with VNC on Windows Platform
On Windows, you need to download and install a VNC client program. TightVNC is commonly used. You can download it from tightvnc.com.
Select a 32-bit or 64-bit version for download based on your Window system version. If you do not know your Window system version, you can view it in the control panel. Download and run the installation file.
During the installation process, you will have the opportunity to choose a typical installation, custom installation, or full installation. You only need the VNC client and do not need the server. Therefore, select Custom installation. Then, select TightVNC Server and set it to Entire feature will be unavailable. Click Next. Ignore the Window firewall option, click Next, and then click Install.
Once the installation is complete, you will see the TightVNC Viewer program in the Start Menu. When you run this program, you will see the following dialog box. Enter the IP address of Raspberry Pi and the corresponding screen number (: 0 or: 1 ). For example, 192.168.0.6: 1.
Click Connect. the dialog box Indicating the password is displayed. This password is the password you specified before configuring VNC on Raspberry Pi. After you enter the correct password, you will see Raspberry Pi's desktop.
If you want to exit on the Raspberry Pi desktop, do not use the logout menu. You only need to close the Remote Desktop Viewer window, and then use the command mentioned in the previous article on Raspberry Pi to close the VNC service.
