Connection setting method for two wired routers

If you have only one network available, and you have two wired routers, how do you connect them? The approach in this article is suitable for routers that do not have WDS or two routers that are not the same model, and where there are barriers through wireless connectivity.

Many students are asking whether the second can be connected to the problem, in fact, the purpose of the WDS Bridge is to make the second or third or even more bridge on the router to connect, and to achieve the same as the first Internet demand, and this is the purpose of WDS.

Primary (first) router configuration

Assuming that the router used to connect to the external network is treated as the first router, we will use this router as the primary router. If your router is newly purchased and the factory defaults are restored, the IP should be 192.168.1.1.

Use cable or wireless to connect to the network, it is recommended to use a wired connection;

Open the Web browser, in the Address bar, enter the router login address: 192.168.1.1, and press ENTER to confirm. Enter the username admin and password admin in the pop-up login box, as shown in:

First, set up the router to connect to the extranet. Click Network Parameters on the left, and then select WAN Settings:

Reboot the router when Setup completes. If the router does not restart automatically, on the left, select Reboot system under System Tools:

All other routers except the first router need to turn off their own DHCP capabilities.

Similarly, connect the second router with a network cable and log on to the second router's admin interface. If its IP is 192.168.0.2.

Open the browser, enter the background management IP "192.168.0.2", and then press ENTER:

After entering the administrator account and password, click OK to open the background management interface;

On the left, select DHCP server, and then select DHCP Service:

Set the right "DHCP server" to "not enabled";

Reboot the router when finished.

The connection of each router and computer

First, the first router as the main router, you need to complete the following functions: To connect the extranet, to other computers to assign IP. So the first router's WAN port (the blue or black interface behind the router, with the WAN text ID) plugs in the network cable that pulls in. Open the DHCP service at the same time.

Secondly, the second router uses a network cable to plug into a row of sockets behind the router (that is, a LAN port, typically yellow, with 1234 digits), rather than the individual, Black Wan. The DHCP network also needs to be shut down;

Furthermore, the other n routers refer to the second setting and connection method, which can be connected to a second LAN or the first LAN port;

Finally, the computer is either plugged into any of the yellow LAN ports of the router and is plugged into any router and does not have to be set.
