11. Next, let's take a look at how the surface works. Click on the top level of the layer Order and the dialog on the right becomes the Surface Options dialog box (Figure 12). This layer controls the specific details of the texture, combining the shading layer to control the lighting effect. Its control options have four items, respectively, for roughness--roughness, brilliance--luster, metallicity--metal texture, graininess--granules. Move the slider to observe the changes in the preview window. Click on the Drop-down menu above the dialog box to select an existing mode from it. Here, we set the roughness to 0.11,graininess as 0.05.
12. Let's take a look at the lighting effect below. Click on the three small bulbs on top of the surface to bring up the lighting dialog box. The effect of these bulbs is to illuminate the texture surface. Click on the corresponding 1, 2, 3rd light bulb switch, you can choose to open or turn off the light source. Although under normal circumstances we do not need special lighting to be able to see the texture clearly, (with all the exceptions, when you add any form, or any edge, to the form and Structure dialog box that we will see in the next step, we need at least one light source), but when adding a high light and dark tone, Multiple light sources can be useful. Move the ambient slider to change the light intensity. Moving the pointer changes the light position, and dragging the color marker from the color panel to the pointer changes the light color. (Figure 13)
13. This is the last thing that controls texture formation-shape and structure. This layer is at the bottom of the layer order. At this level, you can add a variety of shapes to the texture. Corel Texture 10 has increased the texture form to 8 species, is not rich! You can also add varying degrees of relief to the texture edges. For the specifics of this section, we'll put it in the "Advanced Textures" section, and now we're just simply keeping the original. However, if there is no alternative to a light source in the previous step, the special effects cannot be achieved. Different illumination has a great effect on texture shape. (Figure 14)
14. Now that you have a rough idea of these layers, it's time to turn the texture window into a preview of the picture. The full preview of the texture appears when you select Texture/render to Window in the menu bar above the Corel Texture screen. This preview is your final save and export when the image, if satisfied, select Texture/render to file, in the dialog box to select the path and image format of the exported file, you can choose BMP, JPG, PCX, TGA, TIF five kinds of formats to apply different needs. Congratulations to you! The first texture has been born! (Figure 15)
