In step 1th, open the Word2010 document window and switch to the Insert Ribbon. Click the Chart button in the illustrations group, as shown in Figure 1.

Step 2nd, open the Insert Chart dialog box, select the type of chart you want to create in the list of chart types on the left, select the appropriate chart in the right-hand chart subtype list, and click OK, as shown in Figure 2.

Step 3rd, in the Word window and Excel window, which you open side by side, the user first needs to edit the chart data in the Excel window. For example, modify the series name and category name, and edit the specific values. As you edit the Excel table data, the chart results are displayed synchronously in the Word window, as shown in Figure 3.

Step 4th, when you finish editing Excel table data, close the Excel window, and in the Word window you can see the chart you created, as shown in Figure 2011041404.
