Create a new Photoshop image

From now on we are officially in touch with Photoshop, in order to ensure that the shortcut settings are consistent with the tutorial content. Make sure that the shortcut key settings for Photoshop are the default values. You can open the shortcut key settings from the menu Edit > Keyboard shortcuts, select Photoshop defaults in the combo options, and make sure.

When you open Photoshop, it's blank and we need to create a new image to use for drawing.

New images can be created by using the menu "File > New", Shortcut keys 〖ctrl N〗. You can also hold down CTRL and double-click the blank area of Photoshop. The so-called blank area is neither the image nor the palette of the place.

The name is the file name of the image store, which can be entered later when it is stored.

Presets refer to some of the image sizes that have been predefined. If you select A4, A3, or other print-related presets in the preset, width turns to centimeters and the print resolution is automatically set to 300. If you choose a preset such as 640x480, the resolution is 72, and the width unit is pixel. Width and height can be filled in numbers, but before filling in, you should pay attention to the correct choice of units. Avoid typing 640 pixels into 640 centimeters. The resolution should generally be "pixel/inch" as the standard.

The so-called A4 is a kind of paper specifications. A large piece of paper in half cut, the resulting two pieces of paper called A1,A1 and then folded in the fold cut called A2, and so on. A4 is the size of the 4-fold incision. The relationship is shown below.

There is also a B-class segmentation method, B4 than A4. However, because A4 format is more suitable for reading and carrying, so the general office paper and most of the books are used A4.

In the choice of color mode can refer to the contents of the course #01: If it is a printing or printing use of CMYK selection, the rest of the use of RGB can be selected. In the advanced settings, color profile is not selected for color management. The pixel aspect ratio is square. The square is square, the aspect ratio is 1:1. If you have manually entered some non preset content, such as setting the width to 400 and height to 300. The so-called storage preset is to save some of your current settings, the next time you can directly find from the preset list, to avoid repeated input. The preset name will be automatically named with a long width, or it can be changed to something else.
