There are a number of table styles built into the Word2007 for users to choose from, and if the table styles still don't meet the user's actual needs, users can create a new or existing table style based on the table style that best fits the actual job needs. To create a new table style in Word2007, the following steps are described:
Step 1th, open the Word2007 document and insert any table. Switch to the Design tab in the Open Table Tools Ribbon, open the Table Style menu in the table Styles group, and choose New style, as shown in Figure 2009020618.

Step 2nd, open the Create new style based on Formatting dialog box, enter the name of the new style in the name edit box, and select the default table option for Style type. Click the Style Datum drop-down triangle button to select the Word2007 built-in table style closest to your actual needs. In the Apply formatting to the Drop-down list, select the entire table option, and then format the font, font size, table border style, border color, shading color, and so on. When you finish formatting, select the new document based on this template check box, and click OK, as shown in Figure 2009020619.

Once you have successfully created a new Word table style, you can find and apply the table style in the list of table styles, as shown in Figure 2009020620.
