Ln-s Source File Destination file
When we need to use the same file in different directories, we do not need to put in each required directory must be the same file, we just put the file in a fixed directory, and then in other directories with the ln command link (link) it can, do not have to repeatedly occupy disk space, Only one mirror of the target file is generated.
Example: Ln-s/tmp/less/usr/local/bin/less
Second, note:
(1) The LN command maintains the synchronization of each of your connection files, changing the source file or the destination file, and the other file changes.
(2) The LN command is divided into soft connections and hard links (no parameter-s). Unlike a soft connection, a hard link generates a file that is the same size as the original file at the location you selected. Both soft and hard links have synchronization of the files.
(3) When a storage space has several hard links, deleting one of them does not operate on the storage space, so other hard links are not affected.
(4) Ln default time hard link (no parameter-s).
