After the SharePoint home page is hidden from the left-side navigation, it is easy to present the website map in the Tree View. Copy v4.master, paste v4_copy (1). master, check out, and edit. It is unwise to directly modify the v4.master master page. Insert the Tree View in PlaceHolderLeftNavBar. Click the triangle to create a data source in the Select data source drop-down list. Select the site map, specify the ID as SiteMapDataSource, and click OK.
